Team Members
Topologis manages collaboration at the workspace level.
Each workspace has one owner and can include additional editors. If you need the broader account structure first, read Workspaces and Projects.
Workspace roles
There are two workspace roles in Topologis:
- Owner: the person who controls workspace settings and member access
- Editor: a collaborator who can work inside the workspace’s projects
Owners and editors can both access projects in the workspace. The difference is that the owner controls workspace-level administration, while editors do not.
In practice, the owner role is for managing the workspace itself. The editor role is for collaborating on the work inside it.
Inviting editors
Editors are invited from the workspace page in the dashboard.
Only the workspace owner can send invitations. The invite form asks for an email address and sends that person a workspace invitation by email.
Topologis treats invitations as workspace-level access, not project-by-project access. Once someone becomes an editor, they can work with the projects in that workspace.
If you are not on Pro, the workspace page will prompt you to upgrade before inviting editors. For billing details, see Billing.
Accepting an invitation
Workspace invitations are sent to a specific email address.
When the recipient opens the invite link, Topologis guides them through the next step based on their account state:
- If they already have the matching account and are signed in, they can accept and continue to the dashboard
- If they already have an account but are not signed in, they can accept and sign in
- If they do not have an account yet, they can accept and create one
Invitations can also be declined. If an invitation link is invalid or has expired, the recipient will need a new one.
After an accepted invitation is processed, the workspace is added to that user’s access and becomes active in their dashboard.
Managing members
The workspace page shows the current owner and editors for that workspace.
Both owners and editors can view the member list. This is useful when you need to confirm who has access to the workspace before sharing project work more broadly.
Member management itself is more limited than member visibility. Owners control workspace membership changes, while editors can only see who is already in the workspace.
Seats and billing impact
Team access is tied to subscription status.
In the workspace settings, Topologis explains editor access as additional seats in your subscription. On the billing page, Pro is shown as priced per editor seat, and billed seat counts appear there when applicable.
For practical purposes, that means adding editors affects collaboration and billing together. If you are planning team access, review Billing before inviting a larger group.
Removing access
Only the workspace owner can remove an editor.
Removing an editor takes away that user’s access to all projects in the workspace. It does not partially remove access from only one project.
If needed, the owner can invite that person again later. That makes workspace membership simple to reason about: a person either has editor access to the workspace or they do not.
