Your Account
Your account settings control your personal profile, how you sign in, and how you access workspaces in Topologis.
Most day-to-day account changes happen from the Account page in the dashboard. Workspace structure, team access, and billing are related, but they are managed in their own sections.
Profile and avatar
Your account profile includes your display name, email address, and avatar.
From the dashboard account page, you can:
- Update your profile name
- Upload or change your account avatar
These are personal account settings, not workspace settings. Workspace avatars and workspace names are managed separately. For that distinction, see Workspaces and Projects.
Sign-in methods
Topologis supports two sign-in methods: email and password, or Google sign-in.
You can sign up either way from the auth pages. The dashboard account page detects which providers are linked to your account and adjusts the available actions accordingly, so you’ll only see options that make sense for how your account is set up.
Password management
Password management depends on how your account is set up.
If your account already uses email and password, the account page lets you change your current password. If your account does not have a credential-based sign-in method yet, the account page shows a Set a password flow instead.
The auth flow also includes a standard forgot-password and reset-password path. That means password changes can happen from inside the dashboard when you are signed in, or from the auth screens when you need to recover access.
One thing to know: setting a password on a Google-only account unlinks the Google sign-in method as a side effect. If you want both, set the password from an account that already has email-and-password access linked.
Email changes
Email changes are handled from the dashboard account page when your account includes the credential sign-in method.
When you request an email change, Topologis sends confirmation emails to both the old and new addresses. The change isn’t a silent update; it has to be confirmed explicitly, which keeps your account safe if someone else ever gets temporary access to a session.
Workspaces and access
Your account can have access to more than one workspace.
Depending on the workspace, you may be:
- The owner
- An editor
Your active workspace is stored as part of your user preferences, and you can switch workspaces from the workspace menu in the dashboard. If you accept an editor invitation, that workspace can become your active workspace automatically after the invitation is processed.
For the full workspace model, continue with Workspaces and Projects and Team Members.
Billing and subscriptions
Billing is tied to your account, not to a single project page.
From the billing area, you can review your Pro subscription state, storage usage, invoices, and plan controls. If you collaborate with editors across workspaces you own, billing is also where seat-related subscription details become visible.
For the dedicated billing reference, see Billing.
Delete your account
Account deletion is a two-step flow.
Open the delete-account page from the dashboard account area, submit your current email address to start the process, and confirm the deletion by clicking the link in the email Topologis sends.
This action is permanent and irreversible. Deleting your account removes the data associated with it, including projects and imported data, so make sure you’ve exported anything you want to keep first.
